Torn ears
It is an outpatient procedure that lasts less than half an hour and is performed under local anaesthesia. As with all surgical procedures, it is performed in an operating theatre to maximise aseptic conditions (cleanliness) and patient safety (allowing the patient's condition to be monitored at all times).
It consists of refreshing the edges of the torn area and then suturing them, both anteriorly and posteriorly.
